Puma selects Deporvillage to attend its successful event in Boston demonstrating its choice as a strategic partner in the field of technical running.
On the 17th of April, our colleagues Jose Perez and Daniel Ortiz, Co-CEO and Category Manager of deporvillage respectively, had the opportunity to experience a unique experience in the world of running. For three days, they were surrounded by retailers, athletes and media to get a privileged look at Puma’s new running products and attend the Boston Marathon.
The event took place at Puma’s headquarters in Boston, where our colleagues had a privileged opportunity to learn about the brand’s new products and had exclusive access to meetings with the most demanding product managers in the running market. Puma’s opening presentation, as well as the product meetings in its showrooms, were a resounding success.
But the most interesting part of the day was the opportunity to share knowledge and innovations with the Puma experts. Our colleagues had the opportunity to gain insights and expertise that will allow us to continue offering the best products and services to our customers. In addition, they were able to see the models of shoes that Puma has developed for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The reason this event was held in Boston, in addition to being Puma’s global running headquarters, was to complete the experience at the iconic Boston Marathon, it was a unique experience that allowed us to get in touch with the heart of the running world and experience first-hand the excitement and passion of the sport. The Boston Marathon has been held since 1897 on the third Monday in April, Patriot Day, in the state of Massachusetts. Thousands of runners from all over the world gather to participate in this legendary race, and attendees have the opportunity to cheer them on and share their passion for running.
During this experience, attendees also had the opportunity to be surrounded by brand ambassadors, including meeting Puma’s new German athlete ambassador Konstanze Klosterhalfen. In addition, they were able to experience the award-winning high-performance running products for themselves. Two 5K morning runs were organised, led by Puma ambassadors Jenny Simpson and Wilson Kipketer, where they were able to try out various technical shoes, all featuring NITRO technology.
NITRO technology is an advanced foam technology that offers superior responsiveness and cushioning in a lightweight package. It also combines with the PFLite layer to offer additional support in the midfoot.
With this launch, Puma demonstrates its firm commitment to remain at the forefront of the competitive running industry. The brand has invested a great deal of effort and dedication to establish itself at the forefront of performance-oriented sports shoes. Over the past year, it has launched improved versions of its range, with the aim of consolidating its position as an expert in the sector.
