The e-commerce will plant a tree for every sale of the new Finisseur Core Recycled jersey, made from recycled material
In addition to offering cyclists the best products to practise their favourite sports, the leading sports e-commerce in Spain Deporvillage has the ambition to take care of the environment in which they are practised. For this reason, it has developed actions aimed at sustainability, such as the implementation of recycled cardboard in 100% of its packaging, reducing the use of paper. Now it has decided to join the Tree Nation organization in its fight against climate change, promoting some of its reforestation projects planting a tree for every purchase of the new Finisseur Core Recycled jersey from the Spanish brand ‘s new spring-summer collection.
Because, although the main cause of climate change is the emission of greenhouse gases, deforestation is a problem with devastating effects for the planet, being responsible for 12% of CO2 emissions. Every year 8.8M hectares of forest disappear in the world according to Greenpeace data; a massive deforestation that continues to seriously affect tropical forest areas, their diversity, their ecosystem and, in general, the climate and the environment worldwide.
It is obviously a cause of vital importance for all humans in general, and for outdoor sportsmen and women in particular, who are very aware about the conservation of the environment in which they develop their passion. Those responsible for the e-commerce Deporvillage show a strong commitment to environmental causes such as those developed by the NGO Tree-Nation, whose platform brings together all the efforts of reforestation of trees in the world, having so far managed to plant more than 8,000,000 trees in 36 countries.
Therefore, and with the aim of doing its bit in this commendable effort, Deporvillage will plant a tree for each sale of the new Finisseur Core Recycled Jersey, made of micro-perforated elastic fabric composed of 90% polyester from recycled materials. Finisseur’s recycled jerseys maintain the same characteristics as the standard yarn, while being more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Each planted tree can be seen in the Deporvillage’s virtual forest on the Tree-Nation platform.
